Local reporters and journalists had the opportunity to socialise with and get to know Charlotte
Rampling, one of the greatest divas of world cinematography. The conference held at the “Pupin” hotel
was organised on the occasion of the tenth anniversary Shakespeare Festival closing, i.e. The
Shakespeare/Bach play, which will officially close the festival.
It is the play of the Parisian theatre “Centre International de Créations Théâtrales / Théâtre des Bouffes
du Nord“ performed by Charlotte Rampling and Sonia Wieder-Atherton, the composer and the cellist,
who is also the play’s director. The play combines William Shakespeare’s sonnets and Johann Sebastian
Bach’s musical suite.
Rampling welcomed the journalists in the pleasant setting of our hotel and kindly answered the
questions regarding her career to date, being noticeably in a good mood and happy for having the
opportunity to stay in our city.
